meet me at the EQUINOX,
you're such a pretty poison
“ They come when the sun goes away, they cross the equinox, on the scarce days when the when the sun is directly above the equator. They’ve been coming for many centuries; for a day, a night, a week and sometimes for a year. They do not stay forever, they cannot. Our world is too real; it suffocates them like a toxin. But they however love it and they come back to it, craving it, wanting it, needing it.
They’re ugly, but beautiful; kind and horrible; selfish and giving; terrifying and magnificent. They absolutely loathe us, envy us, and yet they crave us in all sorts of different ways. The Vampires adore us, the Wolves obsess over us. The Witches covet us away.
They’re all poison, a pretty poison that seeps into our veins and kills us beautifully.” Vampires. Werewolves. Witches. The demonic and the angelic intersect at a border lining the secluded town, Yellowbrook. They filter past the dead forest lines of the Otherworld and leech onto the serenity of the mortal world. They stay for however long they can bear, and reluctantly return to the morose clutches of the Otherworld when the equinox occurs; leaving the mortals behind in fear and awe of them, having intrigued them in a terrifying way, lured them in and trapped them unto their deaths. For those who are unfortunately enough to have been introduced to the seduction, the corruption of the Otherworldly never truly live a right life afterwards.
